Now, there’s a lot of home remedies for nail fungus on the internet that you may not know about. So what I did was, I collected a list of five of them and some of them you may even have in your home right now that you don’t even know about, and so, if you guys are new to this channel, also just hit that subscribe button. It really helps me out and without any further ado, let’s get right into it now number five is bleach and bleach is something that probably everyone has in their homes right now and if not, you can get it for cheap at most stores, and I found a Lot of people have been reporting success, treating their nail fungus using bleach. However, there is no clinical research that proves bleach as an effective treatment, which makes it number five on our list.
If you want to try using bleach for nail fungus, I actually created an entire video about this, that you guys can go ahead and check out on my channel and in this particular video, I’m gonna be showing you guys how to create a foot soak with This with a half gallon of warm water, a count full of bleach and set up foot bath. So, in order to do this, all you’re gonna do is you’re gonna fill your foot bath with some warm water and then a cap full of bleach and then soak your feet in that for about 15 to 20 minutes once a day until the fungus Subsides number four is going to be vicks. Vapor rub Vicks VapoRub is a common household product that is typically used for cold symptoms and cough suppression. It actually contains something called camphor and also contains eucalyptus oil, which these two actually make it effective for toenail fungus. In fact, there was a 2011 clinical study by the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine, which found Vicks VapoRub has a positive effect on toenail fungus, and it’s very simple to use.
If you want to use Vicks VapoRub, all you’re gonna do is actually apply it directly onto the infected area. Twice a day for thirty days or until the fungus subsides, number three is baking soda. Now, baking soda is probably in your pantry right now, and it’s commonly used for neutralizing, odors and also cooking and a million other things that it’s useful for. However, we’re going to be using it not only to neutralize the bad odors coming from your feet, but also to treat your nail fungus at the same time. In fact, a study in the National Library of Medicine tested baking, sodas effectiveness against nail fungus and actually found that it prevented growth and 79 % of the people tested and eradicated it in others to use it.
It’S going to be very, very simple: all you need is baking soda and water, and what we’re gonna do is create a paste. So what you want to do is get a small bowl put a some baking soda in there and then we’re gonna put a little bit of water and then we’re gonna just mix it up into a paste and and what we’re gonna do is Just directly apply it to the infected nail and let that sit for about ten minutes and then rinse off the excess of amount, and then just do this about twice a day until the fungus subsides, you number two hydrogen peroxide now. This is something you guys probably have in your bathroom cabinets and it’s typically used for wound care and skin disinfectant, but you can also use it for toenail fungus. In fact, it’s one of the cheapest home remedies I’m going to be showing you guys, costing only about 3 cents per fluid ounce. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any clinical studies done on the effects of hydrogen peroxide.
However, I have found a lot of anecdotal evidence and people reporting in forms that they have used it to treat their nail fungus and since so many people have seen success with it. I want to go ahead and share that with you guys today and to use it it’s very simple. We’Re gonna do what’s called the breathing technique. All you’re gonna have to do is apply it to the infected nail bed and then try to get a little under the nail where the fungus is residing next press down and let go of the infected nail and put a little more hydrogen peroxide onto the Nail and then press down again, using your other hand, to press down on the nail and to release and press down on the road and on the nail and release, and do this a few times to kind of work. The liquid underneath your nail to reach those hard-to-reach areas, and that is what’s called the breathing technique.
I actually talked about this in my apple cider, vinegar, video. You guys could go ahead check out on my channel as well and number one apple, cider, vinegar. Now this one is my favorite, because it doesn’t have to be apple, cider, vinegar, specifically, you can use any type. You can use white vinegar if you wanted to, but anyway. The reason why I like this so much is because not only is it cheap, but it also has scientific evidence backing it.
In fact, using vinegar for nail fungus was recommended in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology in September of 2017. On top of that, dr Axe even recommends it, he does a whole article about apple, cider, vinegar, and he says here that it’s actually effective in the treatments for jock, itch athlete’s foot and toenail fungus and what he recommends is using a spray. However, I’m gonna be showing you guys how to create a soak and we’re gonna add one and a half cups, vinegar and three cups of water for the soak. We always want to keep it a 2 to 1 ratio, 2 parts, 1 or 1 part vinegar, and on top of that, we’re gonna add a cup of Epsom salts just to make it more relaxing and you can also even add essential oils such as lavender Or tea tree to actually increase the effectiveness of you know the anti microbial properties of the soap and also just to make it smell a little bit better because vinegar doesn’t smell the best, let’s be honest, and if you guys watch until this point, then I got A little gift for you guys, this bonus home remedy is tiger balm, it’s very similar in the ingredient list, as vicks vapor rub. So, if you look here, I did a quick comparison.
It has a higher concentration of camp 4 and menthol, which is some of the active ingredients that actually help with the fighting of nail fungus, and I just want to share that with you guys. You know tiger balm you’re, going to be using exactly how you use vicks vapor rub you’re, just gonna apply it directly to the nail and you’re gonna want to do that about twice a day until for about 30 days or until the fungus subsides, and I just wanted to give you guys that you know bonus right there and since I helped you guys out.
